As children arrive at schools,
A new senior class began to arise
To learn life's golden rules.
They studied hard, the little dears -
But as time passed-by and by,
After six full years of laughter and tears
They entered junior high.
It was here that they began to mature,
And forgot their toys and skates,
The girls were getting manicures,
And the boys took them out on dates.
Then high school finally rolled around
To slow down many romances.
More hours were given to books and studies
And less to parties and dances.
But now all the fun is slowing down,
We realize that we're almost grown.
We're through with loafing and running around,
And we will soon be on our own.
Some of us will head to college
To further our A's and B's.
But if we do not gain much knowledge,
We are bound for overseas.
Yes, now as Seniors we are nearing
The opening of our future's gates;
Our hearts are filled with joy and cheering,
While the world for us awaits.
What may it have to offer us,
A world with a sky of blue?
Or will it be filled with anguish and disgust?
The answer is up to you.
Will you become a great national
leader
And help to create our laws?
Or will it be filled with anguish and disgust?
The answer is up to you.
Yes, graduation is considered a big
step in life -
One which we all must take.
So we ask for fortune instead of strife,
To guide each move that we make.
We thank our parents, teachers and
friends
For all of the help they have given.
But, we also give thanks to where it begins -
And that is to our God in Heaven. |
